    Sharon McDuff Obituary
Sharon Elizabeth McDuff was one of the kindest, smartest, funniest women to be around. She was also a fierce competitor in the many family game nights. Anyone can attest to that. Sharon was a talented artist as can be seen in the many paintings that her children have hanging in their homes. She was also an avid crocheter with beautiful blankets keeping her family warm. Family and friends were truly blessed to have her for the time we did. She put her whole heart into everything she did and we are all the better for it. Sharon passed away with family by her side on Sunday, November 19th, 2023, at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre, Yorkton, Saskatchewan, at the age of 73 years.

Sharon was born on Tuesday, November 14, 1950, in Eriksdale, Manitoba. At the age of five the family moved to The Pas where Sharon attended Sacred Heart School and MBCI, completing Grade 10.

Sharon married the love of her life, Robert McDuff on July 13, 1968 and were married for 37 years before Bob’s passing in 2005. Together they raised three children. When her children were young Sharon was employed at The Met and Canada Post. After a car accident made it impossible to continue working at Canada Post, Sharon attended K.C.C. and attained her GED and then a diploma in Secretarial Arts in 1989. Shortly after she began working at R.A.G. (1987) Ltd.. Through the years she worked her way up to office manager and remained there for approximately 18 years before she retired.

After retirement Sharon moved to Norquay, Saskatchewan to be with her common-law partner, Lorne Gazdewich. As the farm was closer to Hyas, she was very active at the Hyas Community Centre, whether it was serving coffee, organizing crib tournaments or planning fundraisers for the community.

Sharon is survived by her children, Brent (Susanne), Carrie (Noel Veitch) and Stacy (Todd Gray); her grandchildren, Halie (Jake Doucette), Thomas (Sarah) and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren, Aliya, Rielle and Maisie; her common-law partner Lorne Gazdewich; his daughter, Michelle (Mike) Guillet; and grandchildren, Silas and Asher. She is also survived by her siblings as well as brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

Sharon was predeceased by her loving husband Robert “Bob” McDuff; her parents Leo and Clara Graveline; sister Ethel Hallé, brother-in-law Maurice Hallé; brother Garry Graveline; brothers-in-law Richard McDuff, Ronald “Butch” McDuff and Raymond McDuff; and sister-in-law Carol Aamot.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cathedral, The Pas at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery, The Pas.

Family/Spouse: Lorne Kenneth Gazdewich. Lorne (son of Stephen W Gazdewich and Nettie (Anastasia) Derkatch) was born on 4 Jun 1949 in Canora, Saskatchewan, Canada; died on 19 Jan 2024. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
