It is with sadness that the family of Morris Sydor announce that he passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 7th, 2021 in Abbotsford Hospital at the age of 90. Morris was born on July 8th, 1931 in Dauphin, Manitoba.
Morris / dad / papa is survived by Cheryl Sydor and Brad Struble, Ron Sydor and Susan Sydor, and grand-daughters Erin Struble, Nicole Sydor, Rachel Sydor, and his brother Zenny Sydor and family, and his sister Lillian Saari and her family. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his ex-wife Roberta Sydor (nee James), and his parents John and Anne Sydor, who settled in Mission in the 1940's, building their own home and wonderful garden.
Morris was an avid sport fisherman who loved and knew all the great spots for salmon or trout fishing in the Chehalis, Vedder and Fraser rivers. His gifts of fresh, canned or smoked fish will always be remembered. Was also a prolific cookie baker who gifted everyone.

John married Annie Dubyk on 22 Jul 1928 in St. John's Ukraine Greek Orthodox Church, Drifting River, Manitoba, Canada. Annie was born in 1903. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

The research has been done on the base of Greek Catholic Registers of the village of Spasiv. The documents are in Lviv archives, namely: registrations of births, marriages and deaths 1785-1853, 1876-1877, 1895-1910, 1919, 1926, 1931-1933, 1935, 1937-1938.
I have managed to determine that Trokhym Musiy really lived in the village of Spasiv (his name in Latin is “Trochimus Musij”). He married Maria Yakubchak (Maria Jakubczak) and had at least one daughter – Eva (not Paraska, as it was mentioned in your information):
- Musiy Eva (Musij Eva) was born January 14 (or 17), 1871. 10.11.1895 she married Semen Sydor; his parents were Ivan and Katheryna Prokopchuk (Simeon Sydor, parents Joannes et Catharina Prokopczuk). He was born 14.02.1871. They lived in the building No 51 in Spasiv, and had at least 2 sons:
o Sydor Omelian (Sydor Aemilianus) 19.08.1896 DOB.
o Sydor Vasyl (Sydor Basilius) 13.03.1898 DOB.
There are no Registers 1854-1875; I did not find any birth entries of other children. I did not find any further information on the family in the Registers of the later period.

Samen married Eva (Ewka) Musiy (Musij) on 10 Nov 1895 in Bldg 51, Spasiv, Sokal Raion, Lviv Oblast, Ukraine. Eva (daughter of Trokhym (Trochimus) Musiy (Musij) and Maria Yakubchak (Jakubczak)) was born on 14 Jan 1871 in Bldg 51, Spasiv, Sokal Raion, Lviv Oblast, Ukraine; died on 22 May 1946; was buried in St. John's Ukraine Greek Orthodox cemetery, Drifting River, Manitoba, Canada.
