  Stephanie Witow passed away on January 22, 2013 at the Benito Personal Care Home. She is survived, and will be sadly missed, by her daughter Theresa, son-in-law Don, granddaughters Elizabeth (Thayne Robstad), Heather (Will Millward), and sisters Victoria Buzinski, Anne Hubic, Jean (Harry) Michasiw and Rose (Ed) Swiecicki. Stephanie was born June 17, 1920, on a farm near Benito. She was the second oldest of 9 children born to Mary and William Zachary. She was predeceased by her parents, two siblings in infancy, and sisters Emily Filipowich and Kay Kurylowich. Stephanie attended Vesna School, and was employed as a clerk in a grocery store in Arran and Yorkton for nine years. She married Joseph Witow, who predeceased her in 1979. They lived in Ethelbert, Manitoba, and moved to Benito in 1965. Stephanie was an active member of the Ukrainian Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting, knitting and cooking. She loved to bake, and often shared her wonderful bread, buns, cakes and cookies with friends and neighbours.
