  Karen was born May 23, 1950 in Saskatoon to Ernest and Marjorie Aldred. She grew up on a farm near the town of Govan. After graduating high school, Karen attended the nursing program at SIAST in Saskatoon. She married the love of her life on July 3, 1971. They settled in Watrous where Karen worked as a Registered Nurse at Watrous Union Hospital. They had two daughters Andrea and Sarah who brought tremendous joy to Karen’s life always. After retiring from nursing, Karen devoted her time to her two grandsons Xander and Sam who she cherished. She enjoyed reading, travelling, golfing and anything that involved spending time with family and friends. Karen is survived by her loving husband Herb; daughter Andrea (Kevin) Marshall, daughter Sarah (Jarrod) Normandeau; grandsons Xander and Sam Marshall, brother Russell (Kathy) Aldred, Gordon Aldred, Myrna (Kirk) Head, Jeff (Marla) Aldred, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Karen was predeceased by her parents Ernest and Marjorie Aldred.
