  • Notes
    • Raymond Peter Yacyshen, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. The youngest of fourteen children Ray was born in Rama, Saskatchewan and moved to Brandon with his dad and some of his siblings after his mother’s passing. After school he worked at various jobs ending up at Brandon Packers, a job he thoroughly enjoyed, honing his skills as a knife man. On February 4, 1956 Ray married Isabelle McLean of Douglas, Manitoba. This union produced two sons: John, granddaughters Robin (Trevor, great grandchildren Jacob, Aaron, Caleb, Nathan, and Jade) and Colleen (great grandchildren Kurtis, Jaemie); Danny (Lisa, grandsons Spencer and Brett). He also leaves his sisters Elsie Mack and Zonie Sliva and brother Tony (Shirley) and many nieces and nephews. Ray was predeceased by his parents John and Julia, seven sisters, three brothers, Isabelle's parents, brother-in-law Bill and his wife Mary. As Ray wished cremation will be held and there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Ray may be to a charity of choice.
