This is a church I had to get some video of because it’s got a heck of an interesting story.
It was originally built in 1935 outside of my hometown of Norquay. In the ‘60s, a new church was built in the town and this one sat and became eventually abandoned for decades.
I still remember having visited the cemetery as a kid and seeing this creepy old church hiding amongst the trees.
Until in 2001, the Romanians bought it and had it moved from the Norquay site all the way to this spot along Echo Lake (over 200 kilometres!!), which to me seems like an insane trek to move a large building. They fixed it up, replaced the windows, kicked out the resident raccoons living inside, and it became a beautiful place once again.
For some scenic full 4K drone video of the whole camp it is located on, go to my other post for the link.
